Effective date: April 13, 2026
BumpCheck is an educational reference app for expecting and breastfeeding mothers. It provides information about ingredients in cosmetics, medications, and food based on publicly available research. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Your privacy is important to us.
The following data is stored locally on your device only using Apple's SwiftData framework and never leaves your device:
No account is required. No user profile, name, email, or identifying information is collected.
BumpCheck connects to the following services to provide core functionality:
No personal information, device identifier, or pregnancy stage is ever sent to these services.
Subscription purchases are managed by RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. RevenueCat receives:
RevenueCat does not receive any health information, scan history, or ingredient data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
BumpCheck does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs.
Only Apple's built-in crash diagnostics are collected, which you can disable in your device Settings under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
BumpCheck is intended for adults (age 17+ in line with App Store guidelines for pregnancy-related content). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
BumpCheck provides educational information from public health sources (CDC, ACOG, NIH LactMed, NIH RxNav, EWG Skin Deep, CIR, FDA) for informational purposes only. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. BumpCheck does not provide medical advice.
Always consult your OB-GYN or a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping, or changing any product, medication, supplement, or cosmetic during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Since all scan history and preferences are stored locally on your device, deleting the BumpCheck app from your device removes all your data permanently. There is no server-side data to request deletion of. Your RevenueCat subscription anonymous ID resets when you reinstall.
BumpCheck complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area and with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California residents. Because we do not collect personal information, most data subject rights (access, rectification, portability) are automatically satisfied — you already have full access on your device.
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will also be surfaced inside the app.
