Emergency

Calibrum is not a medical service. Stop using the app and seek emergency care if you experience any of these TRT red-flag symptoms:

In any other US emergency call 911; outside the US use your local emergency number. Always call your prescriber for any concerning side effect.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Calibrum do?

Calibrum is an educational companion for adult men on a physician-supervised testosterone replacement therapy protocol. The app helps you log injections (testosterone cypionate / enanthate / propionate, anastrozole, hCG, ancillaries), rotate sites, photograph and decode your LabCorp / Quest lab PDFs, triage estradiol-related symptoms, calculate Free Testosterone with the Vermeulen formula, time your bloodwork around dose changes, and prepare a Doctor Visit Prep PDF for your urology or endocrinology appointment. The AI Coach ("Atlas") answers general questions about TRT 24/7 and cites the source for every claim.

Is Calibrum medical advice?

No. Calibrum is an educational companion — not a medical device. It does not prescribe medication, does not recommend dose changes, does not start or stop anastrozole, does not diagnose hypogonadism, polycythemia, prostate disease, or any other condition. Atlas explains what the Endocrine Society Clinical Practice Guidelines, AUA TRT guidelines, AAFP TRT monograph, Bhasin 2018 meta-analysis, TRAVERSE trial, and FDA prescribing information say about TRT, and explicitly redirects any personalised question to your prescribing physician.

Who is Calibrum for?

Calibrum is not for anabolic steroid cyclers, bodybuilders running off-label testosterone, transgender HRT patients (who are better served by trans-specific apps and clinics), or women on hormone replacement therapy. The app is calibrated for medical TRT only.

Which medications does Calibrum support?

How does the AI Coach (Atlas) work?

Type a question in the Coach tab. Calibrum first runs a retrieval step on your device against a bundled corpus of medical literature: Endocrine Society Clinical Practice Guidelines on testosterone therapy in adult men, AUA TRT guidelines (2024), AAFP TRT monograph, Bhasin et al. 2018 meta-analysis, TRAVERSE trial, FDA prescribing information for testosterone and anastrozole, and 30+ peer-reviewed PubMed studies covering anastrozole, hCG, hematocrit management, and SHBG dynamics. The retrieved passages are sent with your message to DeepSeek to compose Atlas's reply, with citations. Every reply ends with "Educational, not medical advice. Consult your prescribing physician."

Will the AI Coach change my dose?

No. Atlas is forbidden by its system prompt from recommending a specific dose, telling you when to escalate or de-escalate, suggesting starting or stopping anastrozole, or comparing your situation to "what other guys do on Reddit". Dose decisions belong to you and your prescriber. Atlas can explain what the Endocrine Society guideline says about typical titration, what side-effect patterns are commonly described in the literature, and what specific questions to bring to your next visit.

What is Lab Snap & Decode?

Photograph or import your LabCorp, Quest, hospital, or telehealth-clinic lab PDF. Calibrum sends the image to OpenAI Vision (GPT-4o) via our Cloudflare Worker proxy with store: false for one-shot extraction of biomarker values — Total T, Free T, SHBG, Estradiol (E2), Hematocrit (HCT), Hemoglobin, PSA, prolactin, and any other markers on your panel. Calibrum then displays each marker against the published reference range and against personal-optimal-range bands derived from Endocrine Society guidance. It does not tell you to change your dose.

What is E2 Symptom Triage?

The most underserved part of TRT. Log mood, libido, energy, joint pain, water retention, nipple sensitivity, dry skin, etc., and Calibrum pattern-matches them against three profiles based on your last lab and your last dose change:

The triage is grounded in the Endocrine Society guideline, AUA TRT guideline, and FDA prescribing information for testosterone and anastrozole, and is intentionally conservative.

What is the Free Testosterone Calculator?

The Vermeulen formula is the gold-standard calculation for Free Testosterone and Bioavailable Testosterone from Total T, SHBG, and Albumin. The calculator is free, no subscription required — the app's upstream funnel for men investigating whether they may be hypogonadal before they pay for the rest. The formula and reference bands follow Endocrine Society guidance.

What is Smart Bloodwork Timing?

Changed your dose 6 weeks ago? Calibrum tells you exactly when E2 stabilizes (typically 4–6 weeks for cypionate / enanthate, 1–2 weeks for propionate or daily SubQ) and reminds you to retest at the half-life-correct trough. The math follows pharmacokinetic data in the FDA prescribing information for each ester. We surface direct order links to at-home lab providers — disclosed as affiliate links when applicable.

What does the Doctor Visit Prep PDF contain?

An auto-generated, single-page summary of your last 90 days: every dose with its date and site, lab trend (Total T, Free T, E2, HCT, Hemoglobin, PSA), symptom severity log, and 3–5 prescriber-friendly questions tailored to your trajectory ("Ask about HCT trend if it crosses 52%", "Discuss switching from once-weekly IM to twice-weekly SubQ if E2 swings > 30 pg/mL"). Tap "Share" to AirDrop or email it to your urology or endocrinology office.

How is my data stored?

Injection logs, lab values, lab PDF photos, symptom entries, calculator inputs, Doctor Visit PDFs, and all chat messages live on your device only, in iOS storage protected by your device passcode and Apple's Data Protection. They are never uploaded to our servers. The retrieval index used by Atlas runs on-device too. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I use Calibrum offline?

Logging injections, lab data, symptoms, the Free Testosterone Calculator, the Doctor Visit PDF, and Smart Bloodwork Timing reminders all work fully offline. The AI Coach chat and Lab Snap & Decode require an internet connection because they call our Cloudflare Worker proxy to reach DeepSeek and OpenAI Vision. The on-device retrieval step still runs without internet — Atlas simply waits for connectivity to compose the reply.

How much does Calibrum cost?

Calibrum offers two subscription tiers:

The Free Testosterone Calculator works without a subscription. Prices may vary by region. All subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

How do I cancel my subscription?

On your iPhone, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Calibrum and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also reach this from inside Calibrum via Settings → Manage Subscription. Cancellation must be at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period to avoid the next charge.

How do I restore my subscription on a new device?

Open Calibrum, go to Settings → Restore Purchases while signed in to the same Apple ID that made the original purchase. The subscription will be restored within a few seconds.

Does Calibrum sell or share my data?

No. We do not sell your data, share it with advertising networks, or use HealthKit data outside the Calibrum app (per Apple HealthKit guidelines § 5.1.3). The only things that leave your device are anonymous app analytics events, anonymous crash reports, and your subscription receipt for entitlement verification via RevenueCat. Full details in our Privacy Policy.

Is Calibrum affiliated with Hone, Hims, Maximus, Marek, TRT Nation, Defy, or any pharmacy?

No. Calibrum is an independent educational companion app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Hone Health, Hims, Maximus Tribe, Marek Health, TRT Nation, Defy Medical, AbbVie, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Endo Pharmaceuticals, Clarus Therapeutics, Marius Pharmaceuticals, the FDA, the Endocrine Society, the AUA, the AAFP, Mayo Clinic, Cleveland Clinic, or any other organisation referenced in the app. We may show optional affiliate links to telehealth-TRT clinics or at-home lab providers — clearly disclosed when shown — and may receive a commission if you sign up via the link.

What iOS version is required?

Calibrum requires iOS 17.0 or later and runs on iPhone only (portrait orientation). HealthKit access is optional but recommended for automatic lab and weight import; you can grant or revoke this at any time via iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Calibrum.

Does Calibrum work outside the US?

Yes — the app works in any country where the same medications are prescribed. Logging, site rotation, lab decoding, the Vermeulen calculator, symptom triage, bloodwork timing, and the doctor-visit PDF are global. Chat and Lab Snap work in any country where the Cloudflare Worker proxy is reachable. Emergency contact numbers shown in the app and on this support page are US (911 / 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) and UK (Samaritans 116 123) — please use your local emergency services for any urgent situation, and rely on your own prescriber and pharmacist for region-specific medical guidance.
