VeriBag · Handbag Reference Guide
Effective date: April 19, 2026
VeriBag is an independent photo-based reference checklist for luxury handbags. It compares photos you submit against documented reference patterns and returns a structured report with 22 per-checkpoint notes, market price comparables, and a shareable verify link. VeriBag is not an authentication service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any luxury brand.
The following data is stored locally on your device only using Apple's SwiftData framework and never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it:
No account is required. No user profile, name, email, or identifying information is collected.
VeriBag connects to the following services to provide core functionality:
veribag-worker.workers.dev) — for AI-assisted consistency analysis of the photos you submit. Images are transmitted for the duration of the scan only and are not stored on our servers after the response is returned. Queries are not linked to your identity. No personal information, device identifier, or other app data is sent to these services.
Subscription purchases are managed by RevenueCat, a third-party subscription management service. RevenueCat receives:
RevenueCat does not receive any scan history, photos, or handbag data. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy for details.
VeriBag does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs.
Only Apple's built-in crash diagnostics are collected if you have them enabled. You can disable these in your device Settings under Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
When you generate a shareable QR verify link for a report, the non-photo findings are stored in a Supabase database and served via a public URL at veribag-verify.pages.dev/v/{case-id}. The verify page is marked noindex, nofollow so it does not appear in search-engine results. You control who receives the link. Deleting a report from your Library removes the associated verify record.
VeriBag is intended for adults (age 12+ per App Store age rating, with Unrestricted Web Access for outgoing verify-link browsing). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
VeriBag provides photo-based consistency comparison against publicly documented reference patterns (sourced from public guides including Bagaholic, Purseblog, Lollipuff, Yoogi's Closet). It is not intended to authenticate, certify, or guarantee the origin of any item. VeriBag does not represent or act on behalf of any luxury brand.
For high-value transactions we strongly recommend pairing any photo-based reference check with a professional physical authentication service.
Scan history and preferences are stored locally on your device. Deleting the VeriBag app permanently removes all local data. To remove a shareable verify record from our Supabase database, delete the scan from your Library inside the app. Your RevenueCat anonymous ID resets when you reinstall.
VeriBag complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area and with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) for California residents. Because we do not collect personally identifying information, most data-subject rights (access, rectification, portability) are satisfied automatically — you already have full access to all your data on your device.
If we update this privacy policy, the revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will also be surfaced inside the app.
