How does SnapFlip work?

Point your camera at any item (or select a photo from your gallery). SnapFlip's AI identifies the item — brand, model, category, and condition — then provides real-time resale prices from eBay, Mercari, and Poshmark, a Flip Score (1-100), and a Buy or Skip recommendation. You can also generate ready-to-post listings for each platform with one tap.

What are the free scans?

Every new user gets 3 completely free scans — no account or credit card required. After your 3 free scans, you can upgrade to SnapFlip Pro for unlimited scans and all features.

What is the Flip Score?

The Flip Score is a profitability rating from 1 to 100 based on demand, profit margin, and sales velocity. A high score (70+) means the item is likely a great flip. Below 40 usually means it's not worth the effort. The score helps you make quick decisions while sourcing at thrift stores.

How accurate are the prices?

eBay prices come from real-time eBay API data (active and recently sold listings). Mercari and Poshmark prices are AI-estimated based on market knowledge. All prices are estimates — actual resale value depends on condition, listing quality, photos, and current market demand. Always verify by checking current listings on each platform.

What items can I scan?

SnapFlip works with virtually any resellable item: clothing, sneakers, electronics, books, toys, home decor, accessories, collectibles, vintage items, and more. For best results, take a clear, well-lit photo of a single item.

How do I cancel my subscription?

You can cancel anytime through your iPhone: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → SnapFlip → Cancel Subscription. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods — this is handled by Apple.

How do I restore my purchase?

If you reinstalled the app or switched devices, go to Settings (tab) → Restore Purchases. This will restore your active subscription. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you used for the original purchase.

The scan didn't identify my item correctly. What should I do?

AI identification works best with clear, well-lit photos of single items. Try these tips: take the photo in good lighting, avoid blurry images, show any brand labels or logos, and photograph the item from the front. If the AI still misidentifies the item, it may be a very unique or uncommon item that falls outside the AI's training data.

Does SnapFlip work offline?

No, SnapFlip requires an internet connection for AI analysis and real-time pricing data. You can view your saved collection offline, but new scans require connectivity.

Is my data private?

Yes. All your scan data and collection are stored locally on your device. Photos are sent to our AI provider for analysis only and are not retained after processing. We do not collect personal information, and we have no analytics or advertising SDKs. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

What is the listing generator?

After scanning an item, tap "Generate Listing" to get AI-written listing titles and descriptions optimized for eBay, Mercari, and Poshmark. Each listing is tailored to the platform's style and best practices. You can copy the title, description, or both to your clipboard and paste directly into the marketplace app.

Subscription Plans

Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
