Frequently Asked Questions

How does StackSnap work?

Scan any supplement bottle barcode or label. StackSnap looks it up in the NIH DSLD database (130,000+ products), shows you every ingredient and dosage, and flags potential duplicates, overdoses, and interactions with your medications.

Is StackSnap medical advice?

No. StackSnap is a general wellness app for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your doctor or pharmacist before making changes to your supplement or medication routine.

Where does the data come from?

Supplement data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD), maintained by the U.S. National Institutes of Health. Interaction data comes from RxNav, maintained by the NIH National Library of Medicine. Timing guidelines are based on general wellness recommendations.

Is my health data private?

Yes. All supplement and intake data is stored locally on your device. Nothing about your stack is ever sent to our servers or shared with third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How many free scans do I get?

You get 3 free label scans and can log up to 5 supplements for free. StackSnap Pro unlocks unlimited scans and supplements.

What does StackSnap Pro include?

Unlimited supplements and scans, full interaction checker, doctor PDF export, smart reminders with streaks, multi-marketplace price comparison, savings counter, and share card.

How much does it cost?

StackSnap Pro is available as a weekly plan ($4.99/week with a 7-day free trial) or annual plan ($29.99/year — save over 88%).

How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → StackSnap Pro → Cancel Subscription. You can also cancel directly from the app in Settings.

What iOS version is required?

StackSnap requires iOS 17.0 or later.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export your entire stack as a CSV file or generate a 1-page PDF for your healthcare provider from the Reports section.
