Cysta AI provides a private tracker for cycle days, symptoms, supplement adherence, lab values, and progress photos, plus an AI Coach that surfaces information from peer-reviewed PCOS guidelines (ACOG, ESHRE, Endocrine Society, AAP, PubMed). All content is for educational use only.
The PCOS Type Quiz inside the App is a self-assessment based on the user's reported symptoms. It does not constitute a diagnosis. Only a qualified healthcare provider can diagnose PCOS, using the Rotterdam criteria (or any successor framework), bloodwork, ultrasound, and clinical examination. If you suspect you have PCOS, schedule an appointment with an endocrinologist or OB-GYN.
Before starting, changing, or stopping any treatment — including over-the-counter supplements (myo-inositol, NAC, vitamin D, berberine, etc.), prescription medications (Metformin, Letrozole, oral contraceptives, GLP-1 agonists), or lifestyle interventions — consult your endocrinologist, OB-GYN, or primary care physician.
Cysta may reference prescription drugs by name (Metformin, Letrozole, Ozempic / Wegovy, Spironolactone, etc.) in educational contexts. References are informational only and do not constitute a prescription, recommendation, or endorsement. The App does not prescribe, recommend dosages, or recommend whether to start or stop any medication.
Any drug dose mentioned by the AI Coach (e.g. "ESHRE 2023 mentions myo-inositol 2g twice daily") is a class-level reference to published guidelines. It is not a personalized recommendation. Your prescriber may choose a different dose or different drug entirely based on your individual clinical picture.
The optional Photo Journal captures personal progress photos. These are NOT clinical photography, NOT dermoscopic resolution, and NOT diagnostic-grade. The Compare-photo feature generates one neutral sentence describing visible change between two user-selected photos — it never assigns a severity score, never rates progress as "good" or "bad," and never claims a clinical change. Photos are not a substitute for examination by a dermatologist or endocrinologist.
The AI Coach pulls from peer-reviewed PCOS guidelines and cites the source on every answer. AI responses may nonetheless:

PCOS is associated with higher rates of anxiety and depression. The App is not a substitute for mental healthcare. If you are experiencing thoughts of self-harm or a mental health crisis, please reach out to crisis services in your country:
