A Bible verse for how you feel, on your Lock Screen.
In the App, the Widgets tab plays a short guide ("Show me") and can check that your widget is in place.
Touch and hold an empty spot on your Home Screen → Edit → Add Widget → search "Two Sparrows" → pick a size. For StandBy, add a Home Screen widget, then put your iPhone on charge, on its side, and lock it.
Touch and hold the widget → Edit Widget. You can choose which verses it follows, its look and large text. Coloured looks apply to Home Screen widgets; Lock Screen widgets follow the system tint.
Each morning brings a new verse for the day. When you choose how you feel, the widget follows that feeling for the day. After 8 PM it turns to a verse for the night in warm candle colours. "Keep it on my Lock Screen" keeps a verse there until the next morning.
Open the App once so the widget can load your verse. If it still doesn't update, remove the widget and add it again. Widgets refresh on the schedule iOS allows, so a change can take a moment to appear.
Weekly: $7.99/week with a 7-day free trial for new subscribers. Yearly: $39.99/year, billed when you subscribe. Prices in other countries are shown in your currency before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel.
iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Two Sparrows → Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Cancelling during the 7-day trial means you are not charged. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
The verse of the day stays free in the App and on your widgets. Listening, 7-day paths, verses for how you feel and "Another verse" show a lock until you subscribe again.
Open the App → Settings → Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account. On the subscription screen, "Restore purchases" works too.

A recording downloads the first time you listen and then works offline. Check your connection and the ring/silent switch, and try again. Listening is part of Pro.
Some verses are recorded the first time someone asks for them. Try again a little later — the words are always there to read.
A computer voice reading the public-domain text word for word. It never adds or changes words.
You type or say what's on your heart. The App sends the text through our server to an AI service that only picks verse references from the App's library — it never writes Scripture or advice — and the verses you see come from the Bible text in the App. Our server does not store your words. Prefer not to use it? Choose a feeling instead, or turn on Settings → "Scripture only — no AI matching". Details: Privacy Policy.
The Berean Standard Bible (BSB), a modern public-domain translation. Prayers come from the Book of Common Prayer.
Tap Share on a verse (or on a Home Screen widget) to make a picture — Story, Square or Wallpaper — in one of four looks. Send it to someone with a short line, share it anywhere, or save it to Photos to use as your wallpaper. The picture shows only the verse, with no logo.
Settings → Evening prayer: switch "Daily reminder" on or off and pick the time. You can also turn notifications off in iOS Settings → Notifications → Two Sparrows. It's one notification a day, never a marketing message.
No. There is no sign-up and no account to delete. Your settings and saved verses stay on your iPhone; deleting the App removes them. To ask about any data we hold, write to us.
